Is There a Good Time to be Depressed?
"You must be crazy!" I hear you saying.
Well, yes, I am crazy (ha ha ha) but I am also serious.
Yes, there is a good time to be depressed - right now!
Depression is a form of mental illness. Mental illness has quite a history and there is not one period of history where there is more hope for the mentally ill than now.
There is less stigma,
more understanding,
more information,
more counsellors,
more and better drugs to choose from,
better insurance plans and
more options than ever before.
Why, it is a veritable BUFFET!
There is more reason for HOPE than ever before.
Keep that in mind (oops, wrong choice of words!)
Better still, write this down when you are becoming overwhelmed with the system of doctors and drugs and counselors.
There is more reason for HOPE
than ever before.
So hang in there, don't shy from the system of helps for mental health.
Jump right in, go shopping, embrace those resources and play detective until you find just the right solutions to your situation.
